WOC SPECIAL OFFERING
We will have a special offering for Week of Compassion on Sunday, February 24th. Watch for more information regarding this offering in the Chalice.
Experience the Season of Lent; Sermon on the Mount
We will have a special Lent series starting on Ash Wednesday (March 6th). We would love for you to come join us.
Ash Wednesday: "Blessed are You": we who are poor in spirit, who mourn and who hunger and thirst for righteousness are called blessed by our Savior in his Sermon on the Mount.
March 10: "Salt & Light": Christ calls us to be salt and light in this world of sin.
March 17: "Prayer & Fasting": Lent is a season of prayer and fasting thus allowing us to grow in our relationship with Christ.
March 24: "Do Not Worry: So much of our lives, even in Lent, is spent worrying about what might happen or what has happened.
March 31: "Judge Not": We live in a very judgmental world, so Jesus' advice not to judge sounds radical to our modern ears.
April 7: "Build On Rock: We build our lives on very shady foundations, and then we are surprised when things start collapsing.
Worship on Sundays start at 10:45...hope to see you there!
COLORS OF THE SPIRIT
Rhonda Henson will host her next Colors Of The Spirit on Friday, February 22nd from 5:30-10:00. Cost if $5.00 per person which helps cover the expense of the simple supper. Please bring all your necessary supplies for whatever craft/hobby you would like to work on that evening.
INVITE A FRIEND!!!
If you have signed up to be on the Education committee (or would like to be a part of the group) please make plans to attend the March 3rd meeting. Time TBA
Please know that all events are open to YOU. You do not have to be an active member to participate. A lot of times these special events/outings are a GREAT way to get to know a new church. The environment is more casual that church service and it gives you an opportunity to meet and observe our church family.
Watch for more updates and information as dates approach! So much going on at FCC!!
