How about play with gigantic foam blocks?
Maybe do a science related art project?
Then come and join your church friends in a fun science field trip! Elementary and Preschool children are invited to join in a trip to go to the Benton branch of the Marshall County Library. We will participate in hands on science activities directed by Ms. Hannah, the Educational Specialist.
This is a traveling exhibit from the Kentucky Science Center is Louisville! The children will have a chance to develop a deeper understanding of what science is all about.
Meet at the Benton branch of the Marshall County Library at 5:30 on Wednesday, July 18th. The activities will last about an hour. There will NOT be a meal that night.
Adults are welcome to come to lend a hand and enjoy the fun. What a great chance to learn and have lots of fun with your friends from church!
SERVICE AT THE LAKE
We take a day during the summer and go out to camp Kum-Ba-Ya at the lake and have our worship service, meal and games out there. Everyone always has a great time. The church provides the chicken, drinks, and paper products. You are asked to bring sides, desserts and games! Some people even come over on their boats!!! Kids have swim suits and parents have games. It is always so much fun for the family. Feel free to invite a friend and their family. What better way to get to know our church than an informal setting like the lake. Come on out.
There will be a short worship service AT THE CHURCH that morning at 9:00 am for those unable to attend the lake event.
There will also be several baptisms at the lake starting at 10:30 and then the lake service and meal will start at 11:00.
The kids will have their annual "back to school swim party" on Wednesday, July 25th. Plans are to meet at the church to caravan to the pool. The caravan will pull out of the church promptly at 5:10. Please bring your beach towel and sunscreen. Wear your swim suits. There will be pizza provided for the kids at the pool.

There are crazy decorations, competitions, photo opportunities, free hot dogs & lemonade, candy for the kids and spooks all around. Come out with your family! We will post times closer to date.
Please know that all events are open to YOU. You do not have to be an active member to participate. A lot of times these special events/outings are a GREAT way to get to know a new church. The environment is more casual that church service and it gives you an opportunity to meet and observe our church family.
Watch for more updates and information as dates approach! So much going on at FCC!!
