Each Monday, Wednesday, & Friday the men gather in the activity building around 9:00 am. There is laughter, fellowship, shopping on line, sometimes basketballs bounce, birthday treats, hot coffee, conversation and so much more.
All men in the community are welcome to join them. There is no set agenda...just come hang out, visit, and enjoy a cup of coffee or donut. They really do enjoy visiting and would love for you to join them.
On Sunday evenings (4:00 pm) a group of young adults/college age individuals will meet at the church for some time of fellowship & study time. Please know that you are invited and are welcome to come check them out.
We also host a study group for women on Tuesday evenings. They will gather at 5:30 in the church. All ladies are invited.
Our Wednesday nights are full for kids, youth, men, & women!!!
We have a delicious meal on Wednesday evenings starting at 5:30. It is always kid friendly & kid approved but adults are ALWAYS invited to stay and enjoy it with the kids. Trust us when we say it is not just "chicken nuggets"!!
Then the women will gather at 6:00 for their study time.
The men also meet at 6:00 for their study time.
At 6:00 the kids will leave the meal and will have their time from 6:00-7:00 (like the adults). There is singing, lessons to learn, worship time, bible verses, playing, laughter, and SO MUCH MORE. Pick up is at 7:00 pm. All adults & all kids are invited to come join in the fun.
*** If this is the first time your kids are attending, we do ask that you please come into the building so we can get pertinent information such as allergies, behavior challenges, and emergency contact information. We want the time your child spend with us to be fun & SAFE!! Please take the time to come in and introduce your self and your child to us. We will be so happy to meet you.
Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF) meet the first Thursday of each month in the church at 1:00 pm. These ladies do fundraisers, outreach projects, activities close to home and so much more. Please come see and be a part of this great group of women.
Our church activity building is host to almost monthly Blood Drives given by the American Red Cross. Please watch this web site &/or our Facebook page for upcoming dates & times.
Camp Kum-Ba-Ya is a local church camp that First Christian Church is very active in. We do outreach projects with them, assist in repairs, and also send many of our kids to camp each summer. There are groups for all age groups. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for upcoming summer camps. The kids that go always have a great time and create wonderful memories each & every year. We would love for your child to be able to go!
Our church is very passionate about our local organizations that help our community members. We give with a loving heart to organizations such as the Jonathan/South Family Resource Center, Marshall County Needline, Marcella's Kitchen, The Merryman House (on court square), Camp Kum-Ba-Ya, tornado victims, and so many more as the need arises. We not only donate locally, we also love to help support other organizations that touch our hearts that are far from us physically.
Come see what we are all about!! We would love to meet you & your family.
